Finding Heinz Moehn 12 February 2020 at 7:30pm, Convocation Hall, University of Saskatchewan
Amanda Lalonde will share her research on the rediscovery of Heinz Moehn's musical life, his compositions, and his connections with important figures of twentieth-century music. This lecture will feature performances of two additional rediscovered works: Three Songs to Poems by Henriette Brey (performed by Kate Nachilobe and Shawn Vereschagin) and Duo for Violin and Piano (performed by Hannah Lissel-DeCorby and Nicole Tremblay). The presentation will conclude with a roundtable discussion featuring Eric Paetkau and Johannes Dyring, grandson of Heinz Moehn.
